Warehouse Team Supervisor
Position Title: Warehouse Team Supervisor
Location: Chatham, Dennis & Orleans Stores
Reports to: Store Manager & Assistant Store Manager
Pay Range: $22.25-$29.00/hr.
Position Overview:
Directing daily workflow of yard/warehouse including deliveries, receiving, inventory management, damage control, equipment, and general supervision of Yard/Warehouse Associates.
Provide Friendly and Efficient Customer Service
- Greeting customers and offering assistance both in the warehouse and on the sales floor.
- Assisting the store with stocking and maintaining levels of product.
- Assisting customers in carrying out and loading purchases.
- Answering questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Calling and confirming pickup or carrying out of customer purchase.
- Utilizing radio system in a timely and professional manner.
- Calling and confirming pickup or carrying out of customer purchase.
- Maintaining awareness of promotions and sale items.
- Maintaining awareness of product information and location of items.
- Assembling customer purchases as requested.
- Maintaining proper handling procedures for customer purchases.
- Dispensing propane where applicable.
Assist Supervisor/Store Manager in the Movement of Products
- Stocking bulk items, shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise as directed.
- Maintaining an up-to-date familiarity of bag yard product locations.
- Receiving product manually and with purchasing orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Receiving and pricing merchandise as directed.
- Maintaining awareness of feed dating and stock rotation.
- Keeping inside and outside areas neat, clean, and orderly.
- Keep facilities clean and safe by dusting countertops, shelves, and assisting in the cleaning of other areas.
- Handling items with care to avoid damage.
- Unloading and loading delivery trucks.
- Maintain proper handling procedures for loading of customer purchases.
- Maintaining efficient, organized, and safe traffic flow at location and with deliveries.
- Using the RF gun and developing an understanding of its various screens and functions.
- Assisting other Warehouse staff in learning the RF gun.
- Developing an understanding of the various viewers, functions, and information available with the Eagle programs.
- Training newer staff on the Eagle programs available.
Effectively Overseeing the Yard and Warehouse
- Receiving, coordinating and controlling damage of inventory.
- Serving as locations traffic manager as well as actively unloading and loading delivery trucks.
- Stocking bulk items, shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
- Ensuring a clean and organized work place.
- Enforcing the general safety procedures of P Wiles Inc.
- Providing training to new forklift operators upon completion of certified train-the-trainer program.
- Inspecting tools, vehicles and premises for potential hazards on an ongoing basis
- Planning and recommending layout and design changes to create a more efficient use of space.
- Actively supervising, coaching and training the warehouse and yard employees.
- Openly communicating with the Store Manager on a daily basis regarding product needs, scheduling requirements, and all general day-to-day issues.
- Supporting the store manager by periodically opening and closing the store.
- Utilizing company checklists reviews all vehicles and equipment for needed repairs and maintenance. Upon approval of Ops Manager, schedules and completes needed repairs using appropriate service vendors.
- Conducting scheduled weekly walkthroughs with Store Manager or company owner.
- Creating and implementing a tool/power tool inventory and monitoring that inventory for the safe return of all tools.
- Contributing to the team effort and supporting our pro-active customer service philosophy.
- Ensure that warehouse staff assists stocking the sales floor and provides customer service.
- Successfully learning POS system for cashiering.
- Participating and providing input during facility walkarounds.
Support Overall Team Effort
- Wearing appropriate uniforms, footwear, and presenting an overall neat and tidy appearance in accordance with Agway’s dress code policy.
- Using provided safety gear and proper lifting methods.
- Opening and closing store and nursery as needed, including cash registers.
- Treating fellow team members and customers with respect.
- Cooperating with other assignments deemed necessary by Manager.
- Using email and other various applications accurately, appropriately, and respectfully.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong Supervisory Skills; outgoing, assertive and high energy
- Ability to manage staff; assign tasks and ensure completion (timely and accuracy)
- Able to assist in writing performance reviews and disciplinary reports
- Contribute feedback and ideas regarding operations of warehouse and products
- Ability to work varied hour/dates as business dictates.
- Ability to spend many working hours out of doors, in potentially inclement weather.
- Ability to move or handle merchandise generally weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to read and interpret documents or directions.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fraction, percentages or proportions to practical situations.
- Successful completion and certification of the Forklift Program (must be 18 yrs of age. Completion of the train the trainer program within one year.
- Participation is continued educational seminars for the purpose of expanding supervisory and other necessary skills.

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for local deliveries, loading and unloading materials, assisting in the warehouse and ensuring the efficient flow of products within our distribution center.
Driving and Safety responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and regulations at all times while operating delivery vehicles.
- Maintain safe driving speeds, use turn signals appropriately, and observe all traffic signs and signals.
- Exercise caution when driving in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, or fog.
- Adjust driving speed and following distance to maintain control of the vehicle and reduce the risk of accidents.
- Ensure the safety of customers and pedestrians during deliveries by practicing safe parking and unloading procedures.
- Watch for children, pets, and other obstacles when maneuvering in residential areas.
- Report any safety concerns, near misses, or incidents to your supervisor immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities such as vehicle inspections and safety training.
- Properly secure cargo inside delivery vehicles to prevent shifting or falling during transit. Use appropriate restraints, straps, and packing materials as needed to ensure the stability and safety of the load.
Assist Supervisor/Store Manager in the delivery and movement of products
By:
- Maintain professional relationships with store and warehouse personnel.
- Stocking bulk items, shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise as directed.
- Assist with unloading and receiving of incoming products, including utilizing the RF gun to receive incoming orders into inventory.
- Driving a forklift in a safe and responsible manner.
- Keeping inside and outside areas neat, clean and orderly.
- Handling items with care so as to avoid damage.
- Maintain proper handling procedures for loading of customer purchases.
- Providing the timely and safe delivery of customer purchases to the directed location.
- Maintaining the utmost respect for all company and customer property

- Ability to take direction from Store Managers and Warehouse Supervisors.
- Actively developing a familiarity with essential driving routes and directions.
- Accurately pull transfers from the originating locations and separating them based on intended destination (transfer to another store/delivery).
- Accurately input transfer items into POS in order to have proper paperwork for any and all items leaving the originating location.
Support overall team effort
By:
- Wearing appropriate uniforms, footwear, and presenting an overall neat and tidy
appearance in accordance with Agway’s dress code policy.
- Using provided safety gear and proper lifting methods.
- Treating fellow team members and customers with respect.
- Cooperating with other assignments deemed necessary by Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Ability to work varied hour/dates as business dictates.
- Valid MA driving license.
- Clean driving record.
- Safety is paramount in this role, and adherence to company policies, including the prohibition of phone use while driving, is imperative.
- Experience driving a box truck or small commercial example.
- Consistently abiding by all the rules and laws of the RMV and maintaining an acceptable driving record.
- Demonstrating a courteous and polite driving manner.
- Ability to spend many working hours out of doors, in potentially inclement weather.
- Ability to move or handle merchandise generally weighing between 0-75 pounds.
- Ability to read and interpret documents or directions.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fraction, percentages or proportions to practical situations.
- Participation in the orientation program.
