It’s the most wonderful time of the year, almost! We’re about the enter the thick of the holiday season which is a time for celebration, decorating, family time, and scrumptious recipes. Many of you may already have your fall and Thanksgiving-centric decor up around the house. Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away, which means it’s time to start thinking about your holiday decor.
Most people in the United States put up their holiday and Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving. Whether you decorate right away, or if you push your decorating back until early December, we’ve got everything you need at Agway!
Wreaths and Greenery

You’ve probably seen the displays of beautiful wreaths, swags and holiday greens in the Agway nurseries. But did you know that these are all created right here by our team of talented nursery staff? And that many of those shells adorning the wreaths were combed on our local beaches? And the greens and berries pruned and picked from local woods? Take a peek behind the scenes to see first-hand how we craft our coastal Christmas creations.

These beautiful pieces are adorned by mussels and sea scallops. The shells are combed on our local beaches and then cleaned and sanitized with a special solution. They add a unique Cape Cod touch to any holiday display.
We use a variety of greens and berries in our creations. Different varieties bring different textures, colors and interest to each piece. We especially love Lelands, White Pine, Fir, Spruce, Juniper, Holly, Boxwood, Winter Berry, and Cypress (gold thread). Our team sources much of this locally, starting in early November when many trees are in need of pruning before the long winter.
The nursery team works tirelessly from early November through Christmas, creating each piece by hand. This also makes each design one-of-a-kind. Interested in something special just for you? We’ll happily create a custom item featuring your favorite pieces or theme.
We have a huge selection of ready-made bows and ribbons. Just choose your favorite ribbon and our talented nursery elves will happily tie up a perfectly looped bow.
We haven’t forgotten the most important piece – the tree! We have a vast selection of live and cut trees, ranging from 3 feet to 12 feet. Choose from the fragrant Balsam Firs and the sturdy Frasiers. We’ll give your tree a fresh cut, wrap it and even fasten it to your roof. After choosing your tree, come inside for a collection of unique ornaments
